LITELOK X3 is armoured with Barronium®, a patent pending composite material that resists angle grinder attack by turning the grinder's energy and force in on itself. It offers at least 15 times more resistance than the best-selling D-locks without adding any extra weight. It is permanently fused to a hardened fine-grain high-tensile steel core which provides protection against all other commonly used tools such as bolt croppers, cable cutters, long bars, hammers & chisels and -40°C freeze spray.
LITELOK X3 offers at least six time the security performance of the most heavy-duty chains yet weighs only 2.1kg and is easily carried in a rucksack, stored in your panniers or strapped to your rack.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X3 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

This D lock is next level security! I've still got my bike so I guess it's working as a deterrent so far!
I put the lock though the back wheel which is black so It's not obvious at first glance but I use disc locks front and rear which are yellow, so any weasel with portable angle grinder will probably aim for those first and then will see the Litelok lurking in the shadows so hope they will walk off!
It is expensive but if it stops theft and or damage then it's worth every penny!

I purchased the Litelock X3 Moto to secure my BMW GSA both at home in the garage and when I am out along with the disc lock I always use.
It works a treat and is easy to put on and take off in a matter of seconds. While it is fairly heavy it gives me peace of mind that my bike is going to be alot harder to steal with this lock on. I put it through the spokes and part of the swing arm which presents the hardest place to get to if someone should try to cut it.
I would highly recommend this lock to anyone who wants to secure their bike.

Okay so it’s expensive, get that out of the way. But if you think about it as a percentage of your bikes worth or what you’ve spent on other cheap locks in the past, it starts to get better value. I am not sure that I’ve found the best fitment yet either, but with an additional chain and lock on the rear wheel I feel it’s secure enough (through brake calliper & front wheel) & a deterrent to oppotunist. The Abloy lock is superb, smooth and easy with absolutely no key jiggling required.

Looks and feel very sturdy and wel made.
Unfortunately it's not big enough for my back wheel. Knowing that thiefs often put the front wheel on a skateboard, my goal was to have the back wheel attached with lock, and a chain attached to the lock.. unfortunately it's not wide enough.
