Beyond the Pyramids: Egypt's Hidden Gems - Return Flight Included - 9 DaysWe were a group of 7 people from Switzerland and did the "Enchanting Egypt Tours - Internal Flights Included" with the organizer "Beyond The Nile Tours". Everything was very well organized and the guides did a very good job. We would especially like to praise Mahmoud Noby. He fulfilled all of our wishes, even on the last day, when the tour was already over, he organized a boat and taxi for us. Mahmoud - THANK YOU SO MUCH. In Cairo we stayed in the “Tulip Golden Plaza” hotel and on the Nile in the “Princess Sarah” cruise ship. Both accommodations were fine, clean and with good meals. We didn't eat salad on the trip for fear of diarrhea. At the end of the trip we learned that in the kitchen the food was only washed with water from "controlled bottles". So we could have easily eaten the salad. Nobody in our group had diarrhea, and we didn't meet anyone else with diarrhea either. For us the highlights were: the pyramids, hot air balloon flight and the Valley of the Kings. We were surprised that photography is now allowed in the Valley of the Kings. When we were there in 2017, it was still strictly forbidden. The hot air balloon flight must be booked in addition. It will remain an unforgettable experience for us and we would repeat it at any time. Although the war in Egypt is close, we felt safe at all times. We love Egypt and the Nile and hope to come back soon.

Our tour guide, anas, it is very entertaining but even more very informed he studied for years and knows all about the temples. I always thought I would just cross Egypt off on my bucket list but I'll find it hard not to return soon.

I broke my sunglasses during one of he many security checks and the driver bought me a tube of superglue so I could repair them. Abdul, Ahmet, and Mahmood were very knowledgeable and friendly and Mahmood gave one of our members a bracelet she had been looking for that he was wearing. We were all touched by this generosity.

We were met and greeted at every point of the journey, everything run to clock work and there was no delays in pick ups. We covered an amazing amount of ground and the tour guides were extremely knowledgeable. Nothing was impossible, all requests were met and in fact on many occasions the tour guides / operations people on the ground went the extra mile without being asked. In regard to safety there was never an occasion we were in doubt, and in fact went out shopping on our own. We found the local people in hotels and in the public extremely friendly and respectful. Local vendors when told "No Thank you" they left you alone. the tour guides were a lot of fun and explained subject matter, culture and history brilliantly. They all are considered personal friends and would be all welcome in our home back in Melbourne Australia. We developed a wonderful relationship with truly caring and kind people.
