Our guide, Branca, is like a walking encyclopedia of all things Highlands - except instead of boring you to tears, she keeps you in stitches with her wicked sense of humor, endless supply of wild stories, and wild playlists (unmentioned pirate songs). The tour itself is a wild ride through some of the most jaw-droppingly beautiful countryside I've ever seen. Country Roads of Scotland (Classic, 9 Days)This is a great tour for people who have not visited Scotland before and want a good overview of the whole country. It has a fast but comfortable pace, allowing us to experience both large and small cities, and many historical sites along the way. We took all of the optional excursions, but a person could also have a good experience by doing some exploring on their own. Our tour included tickets to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, an amazing performance by both military and civilian performers. It was a real high point of the trip! We are already thinking about a return trip to beautiful Scotland, and based on what we learned from this trip there are several places we would like to focus on in greater depth. I highly recommend this tour.

The tour is great as Neil is very knowledgeable, sharing the Scottish history and stories for each location. As there are too many places to cover for 5 days, we got to disucss and vote for our preferred places to visit.
- 3 Day Loch Ness & Skye
Me and my friend took the 3 day Isle of Skye tour and it exceeded all our expectations. We were lucky to have sunny weather and see the aurora lights but more than that we got really lucky with our tour guide Branka. She had such a positive energy, there was no problem she wouldn’t be able to solve and she had an interesting story to tell about all locations we went to ( plus the whole playlist of music we listen was carefully selected just for the trip). I wouldn’t usually go for a bus tour while on holiday but this one exceeded all my expectations. It’s a great way to see Scotland and learn about the history and culture. Thank you Branka, you’re the best :-) I’ll definitely join your tour again when I’m in Scotland.

The whole tour was fantastic! Our guide Di and driver Adrian were outstanding. The excursions were top notch. The hotels were very good with full Scottish breakfasts every morning. The included evening meals were just fair. Overall CIE did a A+ tour. Would go with them again.
