Biostar announced the launch of the B760NH-E mITX motherboard recently. Capable of harnessing the power of Intel’s latest 12th and 13th generation Alder Lake and Raptor Lake CPUs, the B760NH-E is built on the budget-friendly B760 chipset. It’s designed for business use or the casual user that does not have a need for CPU overclocking or massive amounts of USB ports. However, It does feature dual DIMM slots of DDR5 up to 64 GB Memory, PCIe 5.0, PCIe M.2 4.0 (64Gb/s), HDMI 4K resolution, 2.5GbE LAN, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type C, and supports WiFi 6 & 6E modules (No WiFi card included). As AMD’s motherboard partners announce their new line-ups for the soon-to-be-released X670 and X670E chipsets, we have created a short “round-up” article to cover the top AIB manufacturer’s releases so far. Biostar has just announced its latest B660 chipset motherboard in MiniITX form factor, the B660T-Silver. Featuring two DDR4 slots with a maximum rated boost clock of 5000+ MHz (O.C.), the B660T-Silver also features a 9-phase power delivery section and a PCIe 5.0 slot. Gigabyte recently announced the Z690I AORUS ULTRA PLUS gaming ITX motherboard. This latest edition adds to an already capable line-up of AORUS ULTRA ITX motherboards. The Gigabyte Z690I AORUS ULTRA PLUS features Double Connect Technology (DCT) which allows simultaneous 2.4Ghz &5/6GHz Wi-Fi band connections. Two versions of each model are available for either DDR4 or DDR5. Other motherboards in the AORUS ULTRA line-up include Z690I AORUS ULTRA and Z690I AORUS ULTRA LITE. The Gigabyte Z690I AORUS ULTRA PLUS is reported to be currently available, but we were unable to determine a price at this time. Biostar has just unveiled its new Z690A-SILVER ATX motherboard for Intel’s 12th-Gen Alder Lake processors. This latest offering from Biostar utilizes Intel’s Z690 chipset along with PCIe 5.0 technology supporting up to four DIMMs of DDR4. Pricing and availability are not known at this time, but we expect the board to be on the less expensive side of the Z690 spectrum. Today, Alphacool announced the new Apex aluminum backplate designed for its LGA1700 coolers. The new backplate improves the structural rigidity of the motherboard and socket compared to the stock Intel mount while providing “significant improvements in cooling performance”. The backplate is currently available on the Alphacool website for $16.64 plus shipping and any applicable taxes.
